Antoine Préat
Born in Paris in 1997, Antoine Préat started the piano at age nine and gave his first public concert one year later at the Salle Gaveau. After graduating with honours from the Ecole Normale de Paris, Antoine furthered his studies at the Royal Academy of Music. He earned a Master of Arts as well as the DipRam – highest distinction delivered by the institution – and the Bache Prize for special achievements upon graduation. Fascinated by early music and always keen to deepen his understanding of his repertoire and instrument, Antoine studied early keyboards with Carole Cerasi in London, as well as with acclaimed fortepianists Andreas Staier and Tobias Koch in Poland. Antoine is an avid chamber musician and is a founding member of Trio Cordiera and Duo Martelli with whom he performs regularly. Antoine’s debut album Polyphony inspired by his deep attachment to Baroque and polyphonic works was released in January 2021 with Ulysses Arts. It features works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Scriabin.
